320 days to Christmas!
You, O LORD, reign forever; Your throne endures from generation to generation. . . Restore us to Yourself, O LORD, that we may return; renew our days as of old unless You have utterly rejected us and are angry with us beyond measure. [Lam 5:19-22 NIV]
LORD, I have heard of Your fame; I stand in awe of Your deeds, O LORD. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. [Hab 3:2 NIV]
Great and marvelous are Your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are Your ways, King of the ages. Who will not fear You, O Lord, and bring glory to Your name? For You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous acts have been revealed. [Rev 15:3-4 NIV]

CL Logger's View Of Contractor Licensing
I am dead set against the licensing of contractors in Idaho. I believe this is yet another un-needed step of "Big Brother" government trying to protect us from ourselves. I believe that people bear the responsibility of doing some background checking before hiring any contractor and letting that contractor's previous work speak for his abilities and workmanship.
One of the reasons that I moved to Idaho was because Idaho was still a "free" state as opposed to the over-regulated Eastern states. Now, with the increase of Californians moving into the area, they are bringing their "government should regulate everything" attitudes with them; trying to turn Idaho into the same dictatorial state they were fleeing from.
Let's keep Idaho a "free" state and let common sense rule us..........not bigger and bigger government that has had a miserable track record at best. As an example; the drivers of this state have shown that even with us not requiring any mandatory annual or semi-annual vehicle inspections (as there are in some states), there hasn't been any increase in vehicle deaths or accident rates when compared to national averages or to those states that do require maintenance inspections.
Let's let the people get back to taking responsibility for their own actions.

Random Humor: Hunting Buddies
Sam and Dave were to hunting buddies that were constantly trying to outdo each other. If Sam bought a new gun, Dave bought a better one. When Dave bought a twelve foot boat, Sam bought an eighteen footer.
One day they went duck hunting, each bringing their dog, both retrievers, and the competition sparked again.
"My dog is the best there is," said Sam as he lifted his shotgun and fired at a duck overhead. As the bird fell, the dog took off from the shore, caught the bird before it hit the water and immediately did the backstroke, keeping the duck dry all the way back and laid it at Sam's feet.
"How's that, huh?" gloated Sam.
Dave fired into a flock of ducks, downing one. Immediately his dog took off running on the water, caught the duck before it hit the water and ran back on the surface of the water, bringing it back to its master.
"Tell me what you think of that!" crowed Dave.
"Personally," replied Sam, "I wouldn't own a dog that couldn't swim."
